Justin Sutton is an up-and-coming singer/songwriter based out of Edmonton, Alberta. He began playing and writing music at sixteen years old when he moved to the east coast of Canada. He quickly began making a name for his brand of country music playing festivals, ECMA Showcases and even bars, at seventeen and eighteen before heading to college for Audio Engineering. Justin has toured throughout Canada and the U.S, both solo and as a lap steel player for different groups.
After a brief hiatus from music while working the oilfield, Justin returned with songs piling up and decided to start focusing on releasing some material and getting back on the road playing music. In the last couple of years Justin has won Global Country Canada (Previous winners include Aaron Goodvin, Brett Kissel, Tenille Townes), has received an invite to both Canada Music Week and Canadian Country Music Week to showcase his songs. He has played countless shows around western Canada including Alberta’s famous Cook County Saloon.
Justin has teamed up once again, with award winning producer Bart Mckay to bring his latest single “Greyhound” to country radio.
Justin’s Debut single “North of 49” was released in October of 2021 and serves as the title track from his upcoming LP “North of 49 – Side A”. The EP was recorded with award winning producer, Bart Mckay. Justin's authenticity and songwriting abilities are evident on all four tracks of this disc. he has a way of telling a story through his songs that gives a traditional feel to a more modern sound. The new EP will be released in late Fall, 2022.
